Margo Thompson
My name is Margo Thompson. I received my education within the Catholic school system of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. This time guided me to pursue my aspirations of becoming an artist at a young age. I graduated from Moore College of Art and Design, in Philadelphia earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. I graduated from Stockton University in Pomona, NJ, with a Master of Arts in Special Education and a second Master of Art in Instructional Technology.
Throughout my 22-year teaching career, I have had the opportunity to instruct art and illustration, special education, and educational technology for the state of New Jersey. I am blessed to give back to my Catholic faith, teaching your children at Christ the King. I believe a Catholic school education provides the foundation of continued learning.
This school year, we will explore the elements of art and the principles of design. Each student will learn how to discover their creativity using a variety of art mediums. The students will develop media and techniques, such as drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and sculpture. The history of art is essential throughout each project.
