Student Support
The Learning Resource Office Offers Learning Support to Christ the King Students.
Students who qualify for a Student Support Plan may receive instruction in reading, writing, and spelling as planned and agreed by the students' parents; Mr. Mila; their classroom teachers; Mrs. Woodman, the learning specialist; or Mrs. Meriwether, the inclusion specialist for grades 5-8.
Also, students in grades kindergarten through fourth, needing decoding and fluency enhancement in their class reading programs may be given that by Mrs. Woodman as agreed by the classroom teachers, the administration, and the students' parents. These students receive extra decoding or fluency practice in the students' classroom- reading programs or in the Wilson Reading program. (see
http://www.WilsonLanguage.com)
. These students are recommended for this support by their teachers but do not have Student Support Plans. Classes are scheduled for individuals or small groups during regular school hours, one, two, or three times a week.
No instruction is given without parental permission.
