Sherry Woodman
I joined the Christ the King family in 1992 as an interim math teacher and my heart has been with this learning community ever since. My credentials in Elementary Education (1-8), Special Education (K-12) and my MBA have supported my various roles at CKS through the years. I graduated from George Peabody College for Teachers of Vanderbilt University in 1981 and Tennessee State University in 1987. Those years also correspond to my marriage to Dr. Jay Woodman, the birth of my son, Dr. John Woodman, and my membership in this wonderful parish.
My classroom serves students with identified learning differences. I work closely with parents and teachers to build Student Support Plans for individual learners and deliver services that help them grow in skills and confidence. Taking each student where they are, we have a team approach to helping them achieve at the next level. I believe that every learner has important gifts to share with the community. It is my privilege to help struggling learners find their path to success.
