From classroom initiatives to extracurricular activities to aftercare, Christ the King provides many enriching opportunities for students to shape their abilities in ways they never could have imagined.

Altar Servers
Any Catholic girl or boy age 10 or above may be an altar server after receiving training. Contact Kathy Skinner,

Athletics
Team athletic opportunities are available for students in grades K-8 through the Diocesan Athletic Interscholastic Program.

Band/Chorus
Students in grades 5-8 may choose Band or Chorus for music class.

Cantor Program
Students in grades 5-8 may sign up to be cantors at school Masses. Each grade's cantors lead once per month with monthly practices during recess. Contact Ms. Lauren Coplan, [email protected], 615-777-8932.

Drama
Grade 4 - 8 students may participate in after school drama to learn about theater performance and participate in school performances. Weekly meetings are held after school with additional practices scheduled prior to performances. Contact Ms. Lauren Coplan, [email protected] or Ms. Kayla Hammel [email protected].

Forensics
Boys and girls in grades 5 - 8 may join the Forensics Team to compete in various forms of the art of public speaking. The team competes in parochial league and other tournaments. Contact Ms. Lauren Coplan, [email protected] or Mr. Morgan Strobel, [email protected].

Catholic Math League
Students meeting selection criteria in grades 3-6 meet weekly with their math coach to prepare for online competitions throughout the school year. Contact Mrs. Gina St. Charles, [email protected], 615-777-8928.

National Junior Honor Society This is a leadership and service organization that teaches students to be both scholars and citizens. Boys and girls in grades 7-8 who meet eligibility requirements are invited to apply. Inductions are early in the spring semester for new members.

Spelling Bee
Students in grade 3-8 participate in class spelling bees to select participants for the school bee which takes place in May. Division I winners represent the school at the regional bee. Contact Mrs. Kristin Vance, [email protected].
Student Council
Each class, grades 3-8, elects members in the fall to represent the class and to organize events which promote student community and school mission. Meetings are twice monthly after school. Contact Ms. Cindy Unwin, [email protected], 615-777-8925.

Guitar Lessons
Lessons for guitar or ukulele are offered on campus during recess or after school by Janet McLaughlin, [email protected].

Service Clubs
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts groups are available under the national programs for interested children.
